He has an excellent grasp of the broader children\u2019s agenda.<\/p>\n<p>Colin stepped down from the role as DCS in Coventry and joined IPC as an associate consultant in 2014. His experience in Coventry included leading the service through a series of major change programmes to establish a children\u2019s service, raise the standards of practice and outcomes for children and young people, and address the need to make significant savings. At IPC, Colin has undertaken a review for a national children\u2019s voluntary organisation of sexual abuse services, contributed to the IPC review of the children\u2019s residential care market and undertaken a test of assurance of the Director of People arrangements for two local authorities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Colin is an experienced former director of children\u2019s services (DCS) and qualified social worker with a special interest in children\u2019s social care and safeguarding.
