We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Video, audio and images<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Not all images have appropriate alternative text.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some images may contain pictures of text.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is no mechanism to pause or stop scrolling content.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Text and content<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Some tables do not have the correct mark-up for headers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some pages don\u2019t have a top-level heading, have empty headings or heading order is not correct.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Documents<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most of the PDFs and Word documents that have been published before 23 September 2018 are non-compliant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Links<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Not all link text makes sense when read on its own (for example &#8216;click here&#8217;).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some pages have multiple links with the same link text but different destinations on one page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Forms<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some pages have form fields with no labels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Colour contrast<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some pages have colour contrast issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Disproportionate burden<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At present there are no accessibility problems that we consider to be a disproportionate burden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Content that\u2019s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Older PDFs and other documents<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Documents that were published before 23 September 2018 and are not essential to providing our services are exempt from the regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Live video<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.legislation.gov.uk\/uksi\/2018\/952\/regulation\/4\/made\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
